I have an open dialogue with 2 of the well known senior boffins at QPM, and they always speak/reply to me, but I do not get any non public information. The advantage is being able to ask questions and get some sort of reply, sometimes the answers have been thin, more so recently.
Reading comments on HC I must say I have lost a lot of enthusiasm for QPM, with my expectations more conservative than before. Too much negativity on HC (not judging), which is expected given recent history.
The shine has come off QPM (for now?), reality has set in leaving a lot of retail shareholders wondering what to do. PieChart had/has put forward many valid reasons to be cautious which has weighed heavily on the SP, well documented, kudos.
What feeling do I get from QPM management? Certainly funding has become more of a challenge than they anticipated, but they are confident they will get it done. BUT they have to be confident right?...
The longer funding drags on the higher the risk now IMHO. That's an obvious thing to say I know.
QPM is a speculative small cap stock and will remain so until we see traction is several areas, none the least being funding deadline met. QPME we need see that revenue and ebitda realistic, with no cost blow outs.
Unfortunately I can't see any positive news for the SP for the rest of 2023 and maybe even early 2024 if there is an information void and speculation funding won't be finalised.
As I said previously, time to manage your own risk with regards to holdings in QPM. I am not here to provide any golden snippets from management, they are 100% committed, and I am extremely hopeful, but too many variables in the future to make any sound predictions.
I hold a reasonable number of shares, but they could go to zero and it's just an offset tax loss for me in a balanced portfolio that has had decent gains elsewhere. This is, and has been, my only tip to people, understand what risk you are comfortable, particularly in speculative stocks like QPM.
HC can be valuable source of information, but it can also contribute to playing with your emotions. Its a dangerous combination.
