the problem with this, is that China alone can flood the market with cheap EVs that have source material from the most disturbing mines and no government cares. excluding from subsidies doesn't equate to anything, and even if they outright ban Chinese made cars, western countries will force premiums on their own citizens whilst the east thrives on cheaper EVs.
there's no winning here besides making power (for industry) unbelievably cheap, and the only way to do this is in a multi-solution approach. sole and wind are NOT the answer.
