This one looks more accurate, no idea how benchmark thinks 450kt of nickel was used in 2022 but that figure seems way to high.
Lets do some napkin math. 10.5 million EVs were sold in 2022 and 68% of them were nickel based.
7.14mil nickel ev cars X 35kg of nickel / 1000 = 250kt of Nickel used in EVs in 2022.
To arrive at benchmarks number of 450kt you would be implying 9mil nickel EVs with 50kg of nickel in each Or 90% market share of high Nickel based EVs. Lol.
