Unlikely. The only way it could help is if there's supply shortfalls for gas fired generation, but most of that extra gas is headed for export, and with the QGP still limited from the recent explosion it's not getting to the export plants on Curtis island anyway.
just a reminder that more gas is consumed by the onsite compressors and generators at the export plants than the entire East coast domestic electricity market, AEMO has been crying about gas shortfalls in Aus for over a decade, yet every year our LNG exports increase.
