    You've misunderstood the conversation. The gas lie was that the LNG plants would bring lots of employment and growth for CQ, but the plants are highly automated and don't actually require many people to operate. So all they do is take Qld resources and export them at a cut-price rate overseas while paying minimal tax or community benefits.
