It's considered green because the alternative would be to just flare the methane and waste it. QPMe uses the methane and mixes it with some accounting "magic" and poof it's considered carbon negative.
IMO the real reason why governments are pushing the green narrative is because the technology makes fiscal sense. it's becoming the cheaper alternative.
People are using solar panels as fencing nowadays because the panels are cheaper then buying fences and the prices are only going to continue to fall.
The same can be said with batteries the price of batteries is dropping dramatically and within the next decade the debate will be truly over.
