    With regards to "powering Tech".

From an electricity standpoint QPME and TECH aren't connected. Yabulu feeds the power they generate into the national grid, and then TECH takes it's portion out from it's connection to the grid.

The overall emissions profile for the electricity is defined by the carbon average of the entire grid at the time of use, there's no way to filter it by source. This is generally known as the 'carbon factor' of the grid and obviously swings around, being much lower during the day when rooftop solar is on and then increasing at night.

The other side of that is process energy. If there's steam used for Tech's chemical processes or they calcine or 'dry' any materials, that will occur by burning gas from QPME's network.

Now there are two ways to manage emissions. The first is to make the grid 100% green, the second is to replace gas (or coal or liquid fuel fired process heat) through electrification or burning green hydrogen made from RE.

Alternatively, companies 'offset' those emissions by planting trees, growing algae or many other ways to sequester the burnt carbon back into permanent storage.
