    That process has been known for eons and would be very energy demanding - so, load salt from ESG onto a truck and ship it to a plant that uses natural gas for electricity .... in this crazy world, such crazy schemes just might get some backers, but I cant see governments overcoming the combined forces of soil conservationists (farmers) environmentalists and economic rationalists.
    PS sea salt is as cheap as chips and besides whats the world goring to do with this expensive caustic soda and HCL ??
