Im invested in A4N. Its a bit different than all of this. They are using waste solvents from Orica, and using them to purify reject Alumina from Rio, think the prosess is SFX or something. But they use a solvent extraction process, recover the solvents and return them to Orica to re-use. Its pretty much 99% recoverable solvent as far as I know.
There is no mine ore feed into A4N as far as I know. The have licenced their tech from somewhere and spent a few years running it in pilot. They do have a first stage commercial plant running at the moment, making a mix of niche aluminium outputs. No offtakes as yet.
