I buy all our desktop PCs from the local computer shop. However, the local computer shop could not compete price wise with Dell for a notebook computer. Bought it about 2 years ago with reservations as you have to post it back for any warranty issues. However, the Dell notebook has been very reliable. It is used a lot and travels a lot as well. Don't know anything about Asus though.
