CEO's recent comment that not aware of other major sands projects under construction anywhere in the world still hang in the air. How will mineral sands prices fall any time soon?
At current elevated prices, the first Tanzanian projects must be looking great now, in NPV terms, and they possibly rank high in the order for new projects likely to get to FID. Tanzanian update must now be imminent.
And still we await the definitive updated broker valuations- for near 95% construction completion @ Coburn, and those Tanzanian refreshed NPVs.
Yes, there will be commissioning hiccups @ Coburn, but hopefully only several months to sort those. As CEO recently said, STA is using latest technologies, but not breaking new ground as far as plant goes.
