The number of funds that have the asx200 as their benchmark, rather than the asx300 is significant.
and,
the asx200 eft are significantly bigger too!
If it looks like neu could be a included within the asx200, the funds will start buying well in advance.
The EFT will be a very large inclusion at the close of trade the same day of the rebalance.
All of the aforementioned will mean that volume increases significantly.
