CVN,at a MC of $143m, is on the cusp of being a candidate for re-entry to the ASX500 in the March reshuffle.See later re the ASX200.
It has to be on S and Ps short list of potential additions and removals about now for a final ASX 500 decision about 8 March,operational about 22 March.
CVN has to hold an MC of about $130m- $140m for a month o r 2 starting "now" and not be suspected of flopping after it gets (re) entry.
As far as entry to the ASX 200 (which CAN take place in March,June,September or December in any year) its possible-but the December new entrants and drop-outs are due out in a week and I think that if S and P had CVN on its December list of proposed ASX200 additions they could make a last minute decision to drop it off the list. S and P absolutely do not want to put a company into an index and see it drop out within a year or 2 (indexes,to be worth anything, need to have stable components)
As far as re-entry to the ASX 500 it absolutely wont happen in the December review-S and P have a practice of changing the 500s component only at the March review.
Best not to put any store on CVN getting into the 200 index in December. My guess is that CVN will likely get into both indexes in March or neither if you guys don't kick the price a bit north of 13.5c and keep it there for 3 months. Roll on the Phoenix announcement.
