It should now be a propitious moment to raise funds in the afterglow being given off by Dendreon in the US.

US investors and funds saw others make the fortune from Dendreon. When the sums involved in these investments (and in big pharmaceutical R&D) is considered, what relative risk and reward is there with PRR - given how far advanced it is in developing a similar therapy?

Some investment / hedge funds etc. would be paying themselves bonuses every year bigger than the current PRR market capital.

Also, just speculating, in the US, I expect Bio investment funds include philanthropic individuals or groups motivated to do some good, as well as avaricious hedge funds.

The possibility of helping increase the prospects of a treatment for a terrible condition afflicting women with no current effective treatment is likely to be one which would attract such investors – in the same way a few share buyers here have commented that is part of their motivation to buy into PRR.

Jasonplay posted an article here the other day about their drug regulatory environment improving and how that may invigorate bio investors there.

It is also worth bearing in mind that sometimes shares are issued (if that is what transpires) at a premium instead of a discount.

Generally, only SPP prices need to be lower than the SP because the shares are (notionally) available and so the small number of shares involved can usually be acquired in normal trade. Not necessarily so, if you want to acquire a substantial stake in a company in a short period.

The SP has been increasing rapidly and the events likely to cause it to increase further in the near future, as well as perhaps ultimately, are known.

If there should also prove to be several interested parties and that would provide further context in which shares could well be issued at a price over the SP. Also, where will the SP be, when any such deal, should there be one, take place?

Anyway, maybe he'll get back on the plane without any investment, who knows? I’m just posting speculative musings because I haven't been able to entirely dispel the feeling that there really seems to be a tremendous amount of potential in the SP yet to be realised. Only started investing a couple of years ago and still learning, and have at least learnt that the market can make a complete fool of you, overnight, so don't really trust such a "feeling".

Yet, without being uncritically "in love" with PRR, it does feel like it could well be beginning something special. Maybe that's how some people felt when they bought Paladin for 8 cents (the ones who didn't sell for 10 cents, that is).

Equally, it may have been how some felt - when they bought Progen shares for $10 (although with the aid of alleged over-enthusiastic pumping).

Still, 7 cents ain't $10 and it is worth noting that after all, Progen reached those dizzy heights before its Phase III trials were even complete (they failed and the price dived to cash value).

For PRR, provided the investigative trials are approved, there should be some great days ahead - well prior to the final clinical answers and regardless of whether Roger eventually brings us a pressie back from the US.
