ASX ANNOUNCEMENT 13 November 2002 ITU The Company wishes to advise that the Ministry of Energy, Communications and Multimedia of Malaysia has supported Cape Range Wireless's application to become a Sector Member of the ITU-D in Geneva. As a result of this support, the Company was notified on November 11, 2003 by the General Secretariat of the ITU that based on the support by the Malaysian Government; membership in the ITU-D was being granted. Cape Range Wireless becomes the first Scientific or Industrial Organization (SIO) sector member from Malaysia in the ITU.
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), which is part of the United Nations, is responsible for coordinating everything from satellite orbits, frequency allocation recommendations, telephone internetworking standards recommendations, and global radio standards recommendations. The ITU-D, is concerned with addressing the development of communications and information technology solutions for developing countries, which is the market addressed by Cape Range Wireless. Through our membership, the Company will be able to participate in the dialogues, recommendations and the development of global solutions designed to overcome both the digital divide that exists between developed and developing nations and to facilitate the development of communications infrastructure in developing countries.
The Company is also pleased to announce that the Malaysian Ministry of Energy, Communications and Multimedia has invited Cape Range Wireless to participate in the World Summit on the Information Society in Geneva from December 9 - 13 as part of the Malaysian Delegation. The Summit will be attended by high-level delegates from the ITU member countries. A Declaration and a Plan of Action is expected to be signed at the Summit.

In closing, Cape Range Wireless would like to again thank Datuk Amar Leo Moggie, Minister of Energy, Communications and Multimedia of Malaysia, and the many officers in the Ministry who supported our application to the ITU; and for the invitation to participate and to showcase the technological solutions for rural telephony and broadband connectivity that the Company has developed in Malaysia.
