ASX announcement changed to a news release only? - Olay China, page-180

I wonder how the ASX would have reacted had the company requested a trading halt knowing that this product launch was about to happen and wanting the market to be fairly informed.

Imagine this even more ridiculous scenario below had of played out:
So OBJ goes into a trading halt pending this market announcement..... 3 days later the trading halt is lifted but there is no ASX announcement detailing the outcome of the reason it went into a trading halt?

If there had been a trading halt prior to the announcement I think the ASX would have allowed the announcement to be made.


I'm not saying OBJ should have requested one, as by the sounds of the P&G don't exactly give them much notice as to when they are doing things.
