ASX ANNOUNCEMENT 9 October 2003 The Board of the Company advises that Cape Range Wireless has been invited to join the Malaysian Government Sponsored Pavilion to exhibit its Arcadian Wireless products at the ITU Telecom World to be held in Geneva from October 12th – 18th. The other participants are Telekom Malaysia Berhad, Maxis, Time dot Com Bhd, Atlas One Sdn. Bhd., and Multimedia Development Corporation. The ITU Telecom World in Geneva, which is held every 4 years, is the major event in the telecommunications industry. Cape Range will be sending 6 sales and engineering representatives to meet customers, integrators and government officials. The company will also be introducing the POTS/ADSL broadband application to customers and integrators. These products deliver high speed Internet and voice over 50 km and are designed for service providers who provide both telephone and data connectivity to their customers. Further information on ITU WORLD can be obtained from www.caperangewireless.com. The Company previously announced that it had made presentations to ITU. These meeting were very positive which has helped give the company momentum in gaining international recognition for the Company’s unique technical solutions for rural telephony. This has been a long process that is just beginning to show results such as our inclusion in the Malaysian delegation to the ITU World convention in Geneva. In August the Company announced that all technical development necessary to qualify the Company’s Arcadian b8/r8 equipment to interface with V5.2 equipment used in Malaysia had been completed. This was followed by a series of integration tests. The final set of tests dealing with standard maintenance activities is now scheduled with the assistance of engineers and facilities provided by Alcatel. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Alcatel for their assistance in integrating the Arcadian V5.2 into the E10 Switching system. Shortly following the completion of these final tests the first installation for Telekom Malaysia on Langkawi Island with Sapura will commence. Yours faithfully RON WISE Chairman
