I find all the conspiracy cr@p that gets thrown up in defence of Nutrasweet facsinating. I used to own several Natural Food businesses in the early nineties and ran across this issue on an almost daily basis.
I would liken the campaign run against those who have raised the issues surround Nutrasweet as not dissimilar to the cigarette lobby.
Rule 1. Beware the fate of the truth when big commercial dollars are at stake.
Rule 2. Natural is generally better than artificial.
You might find recent research into the results of storing food products in plastic (particularly soft plastic) also extremely worth reading for your own interest, if nothing else...needless to say we have brought the use of Clingwrap and plastic containers in microwave ovens to a grinding halt in the Centurian household.
