    ASX queries huge spike in Billabong shares

    THE Australian Stock Exchange has queried surfwear group Billabong after shares in the company rose by more than 60 per cent in the space of a week.

    In an announcement to the ASX, Billabong said it had no explanation for the spike in the share price, which soared from a close of 44.5c last Tuesday to an intraday peak of 71.5c on Friday.
