I don't think that the length of investigation is proportional to the probability of a more negative outcome. If the company was obviously fraudulent or ponzi then you could also argue the same point that the investigation would have already been wrapped up by now.
I think it's probably just a very complicated situation and they are working with BIG to ensure everything is fully resolved before any further announcements or trading.
However, I do agree that from a mental health perspective it's best to just write it off and move on with life. Who knows how long the halt will go on for and what the result will be, and we can't be worried about it everyday.
