I'm with you Tareq.... ASIC funding reductions means they don't have the capacity to adequately investigate. The politics has meant that it isn't a fair system because ASIC can't investigate even when millions of Australians are hurt - with the prominent examples of AMP and the Big Banks ripping off customers and not complying with money laundering laws, even to the point where some authorities have suggested that money could have been channelled through the banks to terrorism groups.
I'm still unconvinced that ASIC is investigating ISX, though it does seem reasonable to assume they are. I think we might find out if ASIC representatives take the stand in court.
