My thinking is that it could likely be subject to a takeover by a US software company in time to come if its price continues to underwhelm its fundamentals- mcap of $40m less $11m cash = A$29m/1.33 = US$21.8m that is all that the company with its award winning IP application (with years of R&D) and the business that it has well truly developed in channel partner development.

The truth is that this is an investor stock, not a darling punt that traders like to play. A few traders may have entered when it was on its run to 28c and might have been caught holding, so they sell and because of lack of liquidity the stock suffers in the short term. There are so many tech stocks that have yet to generate any significant revenues and yet have ridiculously high performance shares given to their directors, but traders seemingly oblivious (or more likely denial) to the implications and remain unfazed. So there it is, life is sometimes not fair but we have to manage our own risks individually.
