Like Shaun Micallef, I'm mad as hell having listened to this. Only 1.8% of reported cases ever investigated means 98.2% of criminals have got away with our money. As former Senator Bill O'Chee puts it - they not got a get out of jail free card, but also got to take a bounty as well. What a learning curve it was for me 4 or 5 years ago when it finally dawned on me that the illegal manipulation that was going on with the share price of another company I was invested in was never going to be investigated by ASIC. Down the portal went my complaint and all I got in return for all my hard work in documenting the malfeasance was a letter back from ASIC's robot telling me that if they did investigate the complaint I would never know the outcome because... you know, the need to be secret, etc. I remember when reporting on HC that I had lodged a complaint with ASIC receiving responses from some of the hired guns used by the very institutions behind the manipulation, laughing at my face for thinking a complain would make a difference.

ASIC is an absolute joke. And so is the ASX which runs a trading platform which allows this criminality to happen. I look forward to the day that ASX is hit with a lawsuit for aiding and facilitating crime. When is it coming fitzroy5?
