11th February is the day when it was announced TAFTA settlement was postponed until the end of 2022, the price would have gone down even absent those sales from BAML.
It SEEMS to me that they are just reacting to the news and being price-taker post-news (as opposed of being price-maker) but we would need to look at the tick data by underlying clients of Bank of America to confirm/infirm that.
We know that they still had a large overall position on that date so I'm unclear as to why they would choose to knowingly depress the price. Except if they were short via another prime broker at the same time?
