The best CFD platforms in Aus are IG Markets and CMC Markets IMO.
Although lately another player plus500 (originally in the UK) has been making big inroads and offers large margins on positions here in Aus. It's a very easy to use platform with charts and stuff. They seem to charge bugger all for CFD trades.
Plus500 actually has some really good education information on the site under the 'Help' column. They also give you $30 for just signing up - might be worth a look.
