Following my previous post and I'd welcome the thoughts of others please? But even this last approx 36hrs the Yanks have not impressed! Unlike Europe, they ARE a single country and a seemingly proud people. Here we are now, hours from equity markets starting another weeks trading and they still appear to bicker. Maybe I'm being harsh and just outright unrealistic, but I would surely have thought the President and Congressional Leadership would have aimed for a clear statement of commitment to expanding their program to address govt debt levels by Sunday night US time.

It's what the US people want! Instead, the Whitehouse issues "we must do better" statements - really, who'd have guessed!

Hopefully, at least the US can say something positive with the G7 Ministers.
