You can replace a broker feed with any data you want. Most of the index trading I do, I prefer it dirty can add or remove data if the feed stops but like to see when they get scared widen spreads, run out of liquidity run stops. All the strategies I use for forex and some commodities have data feeds from previous days uploaded automatically from various depositories. Getting broker data is extremely difficult and raw spreads from their feed sometimes do not even reflect the real quote. I guess a lot of traders do create their own reality with visualizations like renko and heikin ashi. The reality is you make money you enter not when you exit. Figure out a way to get in and not out make money all day everyday.
