It would also be highly problematic if a MIN agent were buying NWE shares under an agreement with MIN. Highly problematic and highly illegal. I am 100% certain that MIN would not have this in place.
Sometimes I think small shareholders jump at the shadows on these sorts of things, but large reputable companies do not partake in that activity.
I understand from some broking connections I have that some arbitrage funds have been active (buy NWE, sell MIN and pocket the spread), which has kept the shares in parallel until yesterday.
FYI, this comes from nearly 40 years of background in and around the market.
