In my mind you are taking an enormous posititve and trying to make it a negative.
Fortunately, any fund raising will be after the current drilling.
MIN stated that the 250tJ plant will be designed to be scaled up.
Why?
Because MIN publicly stated they expect that there is a LOT more gas, not a little, a lot more.
MIN don't think a 250tJ plant is big enough - let that sink in.
Back to any future, possible, capital raising.
Most of the capital cost has to come from MIN, not NWE anyway. Did you think of that?
They also have to fund their share in NWE if they do a rights issue.
This means they will have to stump up around 95% of the cost.
If we have to all put our hands in our pockets for a gas plant, I think every single shareholder will be celebrating.
Just means we have a commercial resource and are all a lot richer.
If we need to capital raise there are several avenues, especially for a company with a resource.
If it's a rights issue, I am ecstatic.
I will take up the rights and my equity will not change.
MIN will probably underwrite and pick up a few more shares from the inevitable shortfall.
They may decide to do a placement.
This will dilute MIN and the remaining shareholders.
Maybe even get a loan, especially with a resource and the MIN name behind it.
Who knows - certainly not me or you.
