A group of investors has got together to launch apetitionagainst what they say are dishonest practices on the ASX, partly based on an article I wrotefor the ABC website way back in 2012. The sorts of things they are complaining about include short selling, exclusive after-hours trading for select parties, algorithmic trading that manipulates prices, privately owned servers located preferentially inside the ASX and coordinated pump and dump operations using well known investor forums. I agree! Let’s all sign the petition, and get some action.
