I really don't see what the big deal is, the company secretary spends 5 minutes putting together a response saying "We have nothing material to announce and we don't know why there is such a change in volume..." and we all continue on our merry way. It would be the same if they queried them on the way down too, only it seems more like rubbing your nose in the fact your losing money so that is probably why the ASX doesn't bother.
