ASX Release – Legal Action

Marathon Resources (ASX: MTN) refers to an article appearing in "The Australian" on Monday 25 February 2008 on proceedings issued by former CEO Mr Stuart Hall arising from the termination of his contract of employment on 1 November 2007.

Marathon confirms it was served with proceedings on 24 December 2007, issued in the Supreme Court of South Australia, alleging inter alia termination without cause, and seeking damages, which have yet to be quantified.

Marathon maintains the Company properly terminated Mr Hall’s employment contract for cause, and has engaged legal representation to, and will strenuously defend the claim.
