I feel your pain. Ive lost probably double your figure & Im just an average person - I had built these funds up from investing in the big banks for years. Im moving on as well. Its not the end of the world but it eats at me a fair bit. I had a mate that told me never sell - a strategy he has followed which has reaped big gains. I held on (margin loan), I threw more money in to keep a float & then sold other blue chips to keep afloat. I just thought that at some point some sanity would prevail with the share price & it would bottom out & move up again. Was I naive & silly - yes. Thats life - what dosent kill you makes you stronger - right!
