Can't agree with your characterisation there. With BLG it has been only the one hiccup so far, and while I don't have faith that 4DS will ultimately succeed (I'm backing another horse in that race), to be fair to them, they remain firmly in the R&D phase and have never stated that they were very close to having a marketable product.
