It wouldn't take many ASX listed companies to transfer their listing to the (NZX) for the ASX to start having second thoughts. Any incoming government in NZ that made index manipulation and short selling unlawful would get my vote.
There must be a few hundred mid cap resource companies in OZ that would gladly say goodbye to the ASX if the NZX promised to push these changes through.
No capital gains tax would be another winner.
An expectation of dividends would be another plus.
No involvement in market is amust for a regulatory body.
ASX index manipulation is beyond a joke.
