I completely get it that they don't want to compete with the market that they sell to.
But the company needs cash.
It's pretty simple to go to the market and say 'Mustang will not be competing with our customers in the future. However we hold 5 stones that must be released to the market for financial reasons. This error in producing polished stones will not occur again".
Sell them, make cash. Simple.
Something smells.
