I would not be surprised if BEX have access to info that us lesser mortals do not have.
The time it takes to permit means they could start that process in August 2018 and be drilling before xmas that year. So why permit now? even more so when you wish to save costs, all costs.
So if there was to be activity sooner rather than later. It would possibly be a test such as 'post hole' rather than anything full on. Yes 3D is needed for a full drilling programme and would be very helpful for a cheaper post hole.
We just do not know what we do not know. So what does it take for something in the back ground to evolve something happening sooner than later.
We do not know what we do not know and I am sure the guidance given is sound for us. Yet, the guidance given does not cover what BEX may be doing, or not. Dw correctly swatted off any questions for PB as PB is not 88e he is BEX, no matter how helpful he has been at Share holder presentations.
I suspect the PB has been more than convincing for BEX and backers
