The problem with people like you and we have plenty in England and on lse is you are completely blind always a few steps behind and actually don't have a clue what you're talking about. Your very limited knowledge and research does you more harm than good because you think you know something but in actual fact know nothing.
The debate about the gas pipeline has and will continue for years because it's uneconomical but that had no effect what so ever on Oil or the exploration of it. Infact while the gas isn't being marketed and sold its being reinjected into the wells to help the flow of oil. Gas is also a by product of OIL so if and when the gas pipeline is granted it would be seen as a bonus but not a be all and end of oil.

It seems to me you need to do a bit more research into Alaska and the oil industry
