I think Ex was onto it the other day. Price being manipulated by player/s in the US to keep the ASX under tight leash, pegging It where we now are.
This then doesn't send any alarm to the LSE, triggering a rise from PI's, which then allows the US player/s to accumulate large holding on the LSE each night, where volumes are higher and MM's can play with market to achieve desired accumulations. All IMO. If correct, its a good thing, as maybe the accumulator knows a bit more than the average PI and is loading up before next series of price moving news
