I sought clarification on the change in stimulation design when it occurred from D Wall, reproduced below. You and others may find it interesting.
Completely confident these guys are going to nail this

Subject: IW2V completion Single stage multi-perforation cluster stimulation
Would you be able to clarify/confirm a few points regarding this ?
Will this be a single one shot, main fracture sequence that covers the entire 160 foot test zone, via the multi perforations. Or a series of individual, isolated fracture sequences targeting different test zones (HUE + HRZ x 3)
Will the spacing of the perforation clusters, attempt to preserve the independence of the 4 test zones, to allow individual zone flow testing.
My original understanding was IW2v was largely about proving the best, most productive landing zone for the future horizontal leg, has this changed to be more of a pure flow test over the entire 160ft as one completely fractured zone .
If you would prefer to cover these points in the upcoming briefing on the 20th, please feel free.
Kind Regards

IW2 is about a few things - first and foremost to produce (at maximum rate) from the HRZ. This frac is designed with that in mind and is also a reflection of recent trends in shale plays (since the oil price drop) that have seen advancements in efficiency and performance.
In order to also fulfill the secondary requirements related to locating the best zone or zones to locate future horizontals, we are running additional logs (before and after frac) as well as placing different tracers in the frac fluid. This will allow us to see both where the fracture has been created most effectively and where the production is coming from (these may not be the same - eg if the hydrocarbons are more concentrated in 'softer' rock that may not have the highest concentration of fractures).
Consequently the job we are running will be significantly larger than the previous multi stages combined and we are executing the latest proven techniques. All perfs will be stimulated at the same time in order to maximise interference and pulverise the rock nearest the well bore where it has been shown that the majority of production comes from.
Am sure there will be more questions on this and Paul can address it in more detail and probably more eloquently also!
