While we're on the topic of CGT, can somebody please dumb this down for me. I'd like to see how much I will profit after 100%CGT as opposed to how much I will make after the 50%CGT discount. What % are you taxed at? My limited understanding is that 100% of your profit is CG tax assessed, but how much actually goes to the filthy tax man? Currently holding 18,500 shares and this is literally my first ASX trade. I'd really appreciate it if somebody could show me the mathematics!
