to broaden the conversation slightly - what do we think the impact of this will be (speculating or based on passed experiences I don't have)

obviously the price of oil is doomed because of OPEC + Covid19 flat out reducing demand.

-would we abandon drilling altogether?
-would we carry on to completion and simply hold on to the asset [potentially] for longer than forecast to wait for this to blow over?

I know that BP abandoned this very location in the 90's due to 'operational difficulties' which could be, as others have speculated, simply been because it wasn't financially viable...

if we get to the end of the drill and there's oil there, surely we'll see some upward trajectory (even if much reduced) as eventually that oil is coming out of the hole - whether it be in 2 years as initially planned, or 5 or 10 etc etc.

a lot to consider now... jeez
