You might be right but BHP are yet to show their hand with lithium.
Rumour is they might be readying to lob a rival bid for Western Areas nickel. BHP yet to demonstrate IGO's ambitions of becoming a "one stop sock" for investors wanting exposure to battery metals. BHP also in a tussle with Andrew Forrest for another nickel play in Canada.
BHP obviously feel more comfortable around nickel and copper to date. I am hoping you are right and they start to turn their attention to lithium.
