I know. But there are times when I like to live in a kind of imaginary fairy land, full of pleasant, helpful and kindly people.

I have a woman friend who uses her "investment advisor" to arrange to buy shares, who, in turn, uses a broker. I tell her about using her laptop/i-pad to buy via an internet broker for a far cheaper amount of brokerage. She says she may make an error and is terrified to do so. She had lined up for CommSec but after a period of zero use of her account, she was cancelled out. Right now she told me she wanted to buy the SPP in her own name. But it was via her "investment advisor" who deals with her superannuation. He also appears to have control over her personal business as well. We are women. Explains all.
