Both technologies are complimentary, and can have a place in the future.
Hydrogen may be more suited to longer-duration commercial operations (trucks etc).
EVs are still most manufacturers' future preference for passenger vehicles. Even Toyota (a traditional supporter of hydrogen powered cars) has come around.
