At the time of GFC 2008, ASIC and regulators already banned the short selling, but years after that the ban was removed. This petition is not to ask for a permanent ban. This petition just asked Asic and regulators to repeat the ban during the world geopolitical, foods and inflationary crisis. So it's a short-term ban.
