Having worked for one of the banks in Abu Dhabi, these countries have huge sovereign wealth funds where they of course are investing in technology and the future. However, most countries wont want the saudis and others buying out their national resources. Perhaps the only good thing we we saw here was a limit on chinese investment in what essentially the national resources of Australia.
