Just did some digging and can confirm that the 3 new tenements pegged by RIO in late August 2022 were previously crown land since at least 2016. This was the year LTR bought the mining leases from Ramelius and pegged the EL that bounds RIO's new southern tenement. This same EL was also repegged in August so not sure whats going on there but it is still listed in LTR's name. At this point the only conclusion I can make is that RIO has taken a big interest in the exploration potential of this area and I cannot see them being interested in mining iron ore there.
