Everyone has his circumstances and financial goals to take into account. Some would be happy to sell their shares at $4. Just like now, some are selling, although the 14/4 broker says net sell by commsec clients (predominantly mum and dads) was only 202k shares, indicating supply from retail drying up.
As for the board of directors, their objective is to get the best value for collective shareholders considering some have bought recently, and even our director jen Morris will pay $2.45 to exercise her 500k options. So not much for her. Ultimately what is the house worth?
much more than $4 as has been discussed exhaustively. For Bod to accept even $6 or $12 billion is tantamount to saying there’s something fundamentally wrong with our project and theeefore it’s better to exit.
but there’s no such indications.
-DSO months away
-project progressing on or ahead of schedule with long lead time items already arriving on site
-a look at m&a says Ltr has a better posture than Kidman when sold at a price higher than pls
-then look at sigma’s market valuation despite its capacity and resource being less than half of Ltr on apple to apple comparison (ie initial production capacity and total resource alone), sigma’s NPV USD15.3 billion at seemingly reasonable sc6 price assumptions of usd3,000/tonne. If Ltr would then adopt such metrics, we’d probably be worth an NPV of USD20-25 billion.
-then look at pls at $13 billion and going to $15 billion shortly imo as they report and I’d expect their numbers defy the doom and gloom outlook that some are peddling.
hence, if we’d sell below $6/share or $12 billion, Ltr is effectively saying there’s something wrong with our house, we’re hiding something as actually it’s the worst house in the street, our Buldania garage is full of asbestos it’s almost impossible to extract value. - again, there’s no such dirty secret of Ltr, done many met tests and the flowsheet is simple - bottom line it’s significantly been derisked.
Again some will sell at $3 or $4 but it doesn’t mean that’s what Ltr is worth.
some even sold at 5 cents 3 years ago and 40 cents just 18 months ago, thinking it was worth 5 cents (or 40 cents) despite Ltr having achieved a tier 1 status.
