Since this is still up, and has not been reported as offtopic.

From recollection, and as I didn't discuss this in my last post, typical specs for spodumene concentrate is for that concentrate to have around 9% moisture content (albeit you can also be above that). That moisture is removed essentially in the downstream processing stage, just before the spodumene enters the 1050 degrees celcius calcination stage, so downstream you do prefer less moisture in the concentrate by the way that you buy (but to repeat earlier posts ensuring the spodumene has low deleterious elements is the main concern of downstream converters).

You can sell product on a Wet Metric Tonne basis, WMT, but your payment is equivalent to the payment you would receive on a Dry Metric Tonne basis (DMT). So the more moisture you have in your concentrate, the less you get on a DMT basis.

LTR's moisture content in its DFS is stated to be 9% which is on spec (Table 4 in the DFS - https://hotcopper.com.au/posts/57483407/single)

    LLL's is 12% - 15% by the looks of it - page 9 https://hotcopper.com.au/posts/48220544/single.

In part this difference IMO centres around the higher difficulty in liberating the lithium from the ore that LLL has compared to LTR, and probably the differing aspects of the WOF each are using.

So essentially if LTR and LLL can produce the same grade concentrate, say 6.5% Li20, essentially LTR will receive more revenue (3% - 6% more) given the LTR product has less moisture in it (on a DMT basis).

    All IMO
